Cardinal Newman Catholic School
28/01
I've been volenteering at Cardinal Newman to gain insight into what a career in education might look like. I've spent time in the Art and DT departments, working closely with various technicians, as well as observing classes to learn from teachers. I'm enjoying my time here and the experience is gradually convincing me to look into a potential career in teaching...

The Queery
Since July 2024 I've been doing some graphics and design work for Brighton cooperation "The Queery". I've loved the creative freedom and insightful feedback I've been given from coworkers. It's lovely working with an organisation that truley cares for its community and that has a strong ethos.
I've designed graphics for merch, social media and a bookmark given when boooks are purchased.

Creative Waves Community Garden
Recently we've been working on painting these wooden bird cut-outs to repurpose them for the community garden. We've been using enammal paints to for a waterproof finish, but theyre ridiculously tricky to blend and paint with so alot of improvising was involved!
I like to imagine them as bird siblings as they look similar but aren't matching...can't wait to see them up.

CreativeWaves' Colonade House Exhibition
11/24
My second oppurtunity exhibiting in Nov 2024 was at Colonade House Gallery with Ceative Waves.
Despite it being quite last minute, I gathered two pieces from my barracuda series as well as some stickers and badges from the collection I've been slowly gowing.
This expeience was wonderful and working with Nadia and Nessie fom CreativeWaves taught me so much.

DarkFest Worthing Exhibition
10-11/24
In October 2024 I had the oppurtunity to exhibit in Newland Gallery's "Darkfest". It was such a wonderful oppurtunity to meet so many lovely creatives that enjoy a bit of spookiness... and I'm so grateful to have experienced it.
I had a print of my illustration "Carmilla" exhibited, which ended up being bought!! So exciting.
This was the first time I've exhibited at a space other than my uni gallery, so it was an insightful experience - espcially because a week later I got to exhibit with Creative Waves at Colonade House!

Selling...
11/24
My Carmilla print was recently bought from the Darkfest exhibition, and this is a bit of documentation on presentatipn and how I packaged it.
This is the only print I've done for Carmilla, and I signed the bottom of it. I had also written my name and contact details on the back of the frame for exhibition, then slipped in a piece of paper with the link to my website page on the piece to provide further information on it.
I slipped in a note - I know the person who bought it and so it was a little personal - and I thanked them for supporting me and for their kind words! Along with a couple of my stickers...
